I am not real big on testimonials or taking time to write them, but my dealings with Marsh Amplification deserves comment. I recently built a 5F1 kit which had very detailed instructions and allowed a complete novice to build a very good sounding amp. I then tackled a 5F2A with much better technical skills but ended up with an amp with no sound! Over a few days I emailed and then called Mike with a number of questions and minor concerns which he quickly solved or provided guidence on. Unfortunately, still zero sound. Over 2 more days, Mike literally walked me through an analysis of the amp while on the phone. He managed to instill confidence that we could solve the problem. The whole time he worked on 1) keeping me safe, 2) encoraging my education 3) solving the problem and 4) never sounded impatient, exasperated or pressed for time. After ~ 2 hours of his time, we solved the problem which was due to a very simple oversight on my part. Again, no frustration when he discovered the mistake, only encouragement for my getting so much right and how much I had learned from the mistake. I really cannot imagine much better service and certainly could not ask for better.
Mike packages things well, provides a great looking and sounding kit and backs his products like a real professional. I guess he really represents \"old fashioned service\" in the best sense of the expression. I recommend his kits and his company without reservation. I am certainly satisfied and have 2 great sounding and looking amps as well. I am considering selling my line 6 and fender deluxe. Then I\'ll build a tweed deluxe(FE3) from Mike!

p. s. I\'ll back this review personally. Ask Mike for my email and I\'ll answer. I feel that strongly about his service.
